Alpine Valley Music Theatre lawn seats?

hey everyone. so i found out the other day Pearl Jam s doing a 20 year anniversary concert at this venue. Its also going to feature the Strokes and Queens of the Stone Age. All bands i love. Tickets went on sale today. Im a college student so i dont have alot of money. Reserved seating tickets were $110 and lawn seats were $70. I had to buy two to take my girlfriend and since i dont have $220 i bought the lawn tickets. however, ive always heard horrible things about alpines lawn. (mostly thats steep and crowded) is this true?? anyway to avoid this? would it help if i get there super early??
