If I leave a lamp switched on with a burnt out lightbulb, is the lamp still using electricity?

I went to unplug a lamp because the light bulbs were both burned out anyway, but I discovered the power switch was left on ON. The last light bulb died over a week ago. Does that mean I had been wasting electricity this entire time? Or did the lamp not use any energy since the light bulbs were dead?
