Can someone help me adjust my subs and amp! i cant figure it out?

Ok so i got two alpine type r's 12 inch and a hifonics 2000 watts buruts amp, and a JVC Kdr-hd40 head unit i think, and i want to adjust them so there is bass coming out of them at the lowest volume, and when i turn it up i dont have to go all the way so they get loud. If someone could help me out that would be great.
