Will this amp push my subs?

I have 2 alpine swr 1042 which are 500 rms a piece. The amp I'm looking to buy is a legacy la-989 2000 peak 1000 rms at 4 ohms bridged. I've owned some of these cheap amps an they never push what their suppose to. It has 2 30 fuses. I'm buying for 50 bucks from a friend. Is this a good deal and will it push my subs to their max like it should? It's not 1 ohm stable.
